A Coffee Shop
She has hair like ebony, dark as ink
With dark eyes but fair skin, she’s beautiful
A lovely aura, noticed in a blink
It’s true she’s far from the usual
My father knew he loved her at first glance
So he asked her out to coffee one day
But he thought he would never have a chance
Left at a coffee shop, his heart was clay
Not thinking she would show, his coffee cold
One day, she came with a dress white as snow
He sure was lucky, or so he is told
That was the story as for as we know
And to this day they still tell the story
With all that it is and all it’s glory.
