Philosophical Lessons

February 20, 2017

Use your looking glasses, look beyond you.

Over the phony photons of a glare,

   The ample, pretentious social nightmare,

   Or superstitions people misconstrue.

There are so many we seek to pursue,

Yet, what people want comes mostly elsewhere.

Open your mind to new thoughts, reach out, dare,

Keep each idea, but know your point-of-view.

Life is rough and tough, a new stiff insole,

I have yet to make a dent in my shoes,

   But others take advantage, overuse.

Do good for social welfare as a whole,

Your footwear is your legacy, don’t abuse

Because nothing is worse than broken shoes.
