I would lie here and wonder.
I would fall into the depths of beauty
To feel the earth move around me.
The stars burned every night,
They shed light onto the emptiness,
Like a fire,
Turning into a heap of embers by sunrise.
In the morning somebody would remember;
People slept at the edge of the fire.
We trembled in that cold distance.
He would run,
Get the gas,
And throw it into the embers,
To find it only burned brighter than before.
