Mount Hood
I began to sweat in the icy white snow
The unfamiliar feeling was strange
I wanted some of my layers to go
Such a memorable trip to arrange
Attempting to take photos with numb hands
The rush, sliding down the powdery hills
How different it was from the beach and sand
The odd feeling of my spine filled with chills
My feet regaining feeling in the car
The foggy window perfect for drawing
Locals accustomed to the cold, bizarre
My cold surroundings were slowly thawing
Hot chocolate warming my cold fingers
The icy feeling of snow would linger
