A sweet spring day when the birds were free to sing,

Warm, free air filled the room,

Yet I was still suffocating under my tears.

Seeing that hospital bed and the IV line

In your skin

Broke me into pieces.

Loud school bells

Loud hallways

Now that algebra’s over time to go kick some balls around

On a pitch of patchy green

As if the green I see doesn't already make me want to be a teen

Oh now it’s 3:30

Time to go help some vegetables eat their mush

While I give their ill-breed ar...

The small girl laughed.

The noise bubbling out of her mouth- a jubilant stream of sound.

No more than four or five years old

She traced the life lines on her father's palm.

Folding and unfolding the fingers

I can only hope

That one day I will meet you:

My perfect prince,

My beautiful princess,

My other half.

I can only hope

That one day we will come together

Flowers trailed behind you.

The sun rose east to west,

Your moth...

Home is new

Home is the place where they slept and they woke up

Home is where they walked and ran, j...

I guess you could say, we are two sides of the same stone.

I guess.

He and I

we are like a stone buried in a river.

Me.

I am the lower half, buried in the sediment.

Sometimes, I peek out a watch the water rushing by.

Watch my life rushing by.

I grip the muddy river floor so we...

Could you define bliss to me?

It's when the heart's beat is of ecstasy.

Conveyed through goofy, eccentric laughs,

It's little kids crafts showed in photographs.

Dulcet strums, a sweet bliss of mine,

Takes me towards silver linings of cloud nine,

And blithe words written on c...

I'm sure you've heard the story before /

It starts with midnight walks along the seashore /

Defying Fatigue and abandoning sleep, /

All in exchange for another chance to weep. /

Boys always texting, blowing up her phone /

A hundred friends, but she's still alone. /

To the wo...

I stare at the spark,

Caught in the ordered line of the fuse,

Bookended by disorder

and disorder

(The struck match and the brilliant fading fireworks).

How beautiful, I think,

But the smoke leaves a bitter taste.

I look on, and my ears

Are assailed with the grinding of teeth

Ov...
